At the Electric Needle we offer three different types of private lessons - Owner's Sewing/Embroidery Machine Lessons, Serger Lessons and Sewing Lessons. Check out the descriptions below for more information on each!

Owner's Lessons

Owner's Lessons are included at no additional cost when you purchase any Pfaff or Husqvarna Viking sewing, embroidery machine or serger from us. Your first owner's lesson will walk you through everything you need to know to get started using your new machine. When you're ready, we welcome you to schedule additional owner's lessons (also free of charge) until you have mastered all of the features on your sewing machine.

We also offer owner's lessons for any home sewing machine (all makes, all models) at a rate of $50/hour. Give us a call today at 608-422-5449 to schedule your owner's lesson.

Serger Lessons

Serger lessons are available to help you master threading and adjusting the settings on your serger or coverlock machine. We're also happy to guide you through sewing projects on your serger.  Serger lessons are $75/hour and a half with Teri. We look forward to helping you become confident with your serging!

Sewing Lessons

We offer private, one-on-one lessons for all sorts of sewing topics from beginner to advanced. Feel free to bring in a project and we'll tackle it together. You can schedule time with our Customer Success Team members:

Bernie - beginning sewing classes, improv and traditionally pieced quilting. $50/hr

Dawn - English paper piecing, ruler work, hand sewing, mySewnet software, and machine technique. $50/hr

Erica - home dec, toys, millennium sewist, simple basic wardrobe pieces, felt, and visible mending. $45/hr

Kirsten - long arm. $50/hr long arm

Teri - sewing skill expansion, beginning to advanced garment sewing, pattern reading, pattern alterations, fitting, alterations, costumes, dress making, machine embroidery, beginning serger to advanced serger techniques, everything zippers, and wearable art. $50/hr

Private Lesson Cancelation Policy
      Less than 3 days - no refund.
      3 days before class - if you cancel, 1/2 refund to your store account or reschedule and full deposit moves to another day.
      7 days before class - full refund to store account or less 5% if cash or check.
