Improv Quilting 101

Develop your creative voice with this expressive form of patchwork! Improv quilting is done without rulers or patterns and is a fun, relaxing way to play with color and form. We will use a variety of improvisational techniques taught in Sherri Lynn Wood's fabulous book The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters to create a series of four wall hangings or table runners, or you can choose to combine your four pieces to create a throw-sized quilt!
All sewists ages 16+ with beginner sewing skill and up are welcome, no quilting experience necessary.
Class 1: floating squares
Class 2: strings
Class 3: layered curves
Class 4: get your curve on
Class 5: quilting and finishing

Bring your sewing machine or call ahead if you need to reserve a classroom sewing machine.
