HFE101: Historical Foundations - Edwardian Corset
Ali will be using a corset pattern by Truly Victorian based on the styles seen in 1903. It has the low, full bust and long hip needed to create the pigeon breast look that was popular from 1902 - 1909.
This is the 1st class in a series of four, each garment has three separate 3-hour sessions.

Class Supply List will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the class for items not covered in the Class Kit or beginner tool kit.
The class kits are optional, but will include everything needed to make the corset and is paid to the instructor the night of the 1st class. Please email Ali at redcometcreates@gmail.com at least 1 week before class (by: 7/12/21) to reserve the color kit you would like or if you have any questions.
Items from the beginner tool kit will be provided for use during the class. If you wish to work on this project at home, a tool kit is available for sale. If you wish to purchase a beginner tool kit please make that request in the same email you are sending for the class kit.
Class Kit $130 includes:
Silver Grommets, Corset String, Satin Bias Tape, Bone Casing, Corset Busk, White Spring Steel, Tie String, Thread, Canvas and the Choice of black or white: Twill Lining, Coutil, Broadcloth, and Silk Fashion Fabric.
Beginner Tool Kit $85 includes:
Grommet Setting Tool, Heavy Duty Rubber Mallet, Tailors Awl White Handle, Clover Triangle Tailors Chalk, Quilt-N-Sew Ruler, Saral Tracing Paper, Pattern Notcher, Paper Weights, Needle Point Tracing Wheel, Clover Seam Ripper.
