Garment Sewing Techniques Winter Coat Sloper

In this six session Garment Sewing Techniques, you will make a sloper of a winter coat pattern of your choosing. This class will be followed with a class to construct a finished coat from your sloper. We will be taking measurements, making pattern adjustments and creating a muslin sloper. This class does require some sewing outside of class.

  • Teri will 1st demonstrate how to properly take body measurements then everyone will take measurements.
  • You'll learn more about selecting the correct pattern size. Please keep in mind that all bodies require pattern adjustments.
  • Each of you will be adjusting the paper pattern to your measurements.
  • After making a muslin of this pattern Teri will be pin fitting adjustments to each individual explaining why these adjustments are necessary.

  • You'll then correct your muslin and pattern from the pin fitting.
