Beginning Sewing with Bernie - Class 06 of 11: Zip-It Pillow
This pillow cover will give your throw pillows a professional finish with a binding, a covered zipper, and (optionally) a quilted front.
This is a beginner-level class for sewists aged 16 and up. All students should know how to operate their sewing machine.
PREREQUISITE: This class is for students who have already taken one or more of the first three classes in the Beginning Sewing series (Speedy Pillowcase, Lined Drawstring Bag, and/or Simple Strings Apron). Please call the store at 608-422-5449 with any questions about this requirement.
Bring your sewing machine or call ahead if you need to reserve a classroom sewing machine.
Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver and registration form signed by a parent/guardian.
A supply list will be sent out at least one week before class. Required supplies include the book School of Sewing by Shea Henderson.

Instructor Bio:
Bernie Taylor (he/him) is a sewist and multimedia artist from rural upstate New York. He received a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Surface Imaging from Philadelphia University, specializing in textile design and inkjet printing for textiles, respectively. His creative interests include color theory, improv quilting, repurposing materials, functional home sewing projects, and making toys and games for his bunny, Frankie. He loves troubleshooting and brainstorming - ask him anything!
