Memi's Lemons Quilt
This adorable block is a fun way to learn curved piecing with two classic techniques: the orange-peel unit and the quarter-circle unit. We will use the templates provided with the pattern, and will also discuss how to adapt this block for improv piecing.
We will make one block together in class - you can then finish the single block into a throw pillow or hot pad, or make additional blocks to make any size quilt or runner you desire.
This class will cover piecing only. If you are looking for instruction on basting, quilting, and binding your quilt projects, please check out the Finishing School class series or contact the store to schedule a private lesson.
Bring your sewing machine or call ahead if you need to reserve a classroom sewing machine.
Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver and registration form signed by a parent/guardian.

This is a beginner-level class for sewists aged 16 and up.?All students should know how to operate their sewing machine and have basic knowledge of quilt piecing.

Instructor Bio:
Bernie Taylor (he/him) is a sewist and multimedia artist from rural upstate New York. He received a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Surface Imaging from Philadelphia University, specializing in textile design and inkjet printing for textiles, respectively. His creative interests include color theory, improv quilting, repurposing materials, working with dyes, functional home sewing projects, and making toys and games for his bunny, Frankie. He loves troubleshooting and brainstorming - ask him anything!
