Beginning Sewing with Bernie - Class 09 of 11: Pleated Purse
Let's make a cute and functional purse! This is a great opportunity to try working with canvas, linen, or another specialty fabric you love.
This is a beginner-level class for sewists aged 16 and up. All students should know how to operate their sewing machine AND must have taken one or more of the first three Beginning Sewing classes. Please call the store with questions.
Bring your sewing machine or call ahead if you need to reserve a classroom sewing machine.
Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver and registration form signed by a parent/guardian.
A supply list will be sent out one week before the class.

Instructor Bio:
Bernie Taylor (he/him) is a sewist and multimedia artist from rural upstate New York. He received a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Surface Imaging from Philadelphia University, specializing in textile design and inkjet printing for textiles, respectively. His creative interests include color theory, improv quilting, repurposing materials, functional home sewing projects, and making toys and games for his bunny, Frankie. He loves troubleshooting and brainstorming - ask him anything!
