Make Your Own Pride Flag
Happy Pride Month!! Let's celebrate who we are by making some flags - this project can be adapted to make any striped pride flag!
We'll practice some great basic sewing skills like rotary cutting, flat felled seams, and hemming and make an 18" x 24" flag with a pole pocket for display.

All sewists with beginner sewing skill and up are welcome.
Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver and registration form signed by a parent/guardian.

Instructor Bio:
Bernie Taylor (he/him) is a sewist and multimedia artist from rural upstate New York. He received a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Surface Imaging from Philadelphia University, specializing in textile design and inkjet printing for textiles, respectively. His creative interests include color theory, improv quilting, repurposing materials, working with dyes, functional home sewing projects, and making toys and games for his bunny, Frankie. He loves troubleshooting and brainstorming - ask him anything!
