Join us the 2nd Sunday of the month for a LGBTQ+ Open Sewing Studio. Bernie will be there sewing and looks forward to sewing with you in a relaxed fun environment. Bring your sewing machine or call ahead if you need to reserve a classroom sewing machine. They will answer questions and assist in sales, if needed.
16 and up, all skill levels welcome! Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver and registration form signed by a parent/guardian.
Instructor Bio:
Bernie Taylor (pronouns they/them) is a sewist and multimedia artist from rural upstate New York. They received a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Surface Imaging from Philadelphia University, specializing in textile design and inkjet printing for textiles, respectively. Their creative interests include color theory, improv quilting, thread painting, repurposing materials, working with dyes, functional home sewing projects, and making toys and games for their bunny, Frankie. They love troubleshooting and brainstorming - ask them anything!
