Pouch-On-the-Go Club - Big Zip Pouch
The Big Zip Pouch is a professional-looking project that holds iPads, books, papers and more!
The Pouch-On-the-Go Club will teach essential skills in bag-making: selecting materials, working with patterns, choosing stabilizing materials specific to the project, topstitching techniques, working with various fabrics and installing zippers.
This Big Zip project is so much fun. Work with larger pieces of fabric to make a practical flat pouch.
What you'll learn this month:
Learn a simple way to install zippers!- We will go over stabilizing materials as well as how to improvise when following patterns.
- Learn how to improvise to further customize patterns, select and install zippers with a lining.
Each month we will work on making a functional, visually appealing project to share with family and friends or to take with you on errands.
Pouch-On-the-Go Club explores the essentials of bag making through individual pouch projects.
The book we’ll be working from is by comfortstitching blogger, Aneela Hoey. Her book, Stitched, Sewing Organizers, contains fifteen organizational projects. This Club will be working through the pouch section first and then progress to the various types of boxy bags and containers made from fabric.
Supply List will be sent out 1 week before the class.
