Pouch-On-the-Go Club - Drawstring Bag
This month we’ll go over tools that make life easier when doing bag construction. Create pleasant shapes from two flat pieces of fabric using darts and drawstring channels! Great for personalized thematic gifts.
Pouch-On-the-Go Club explores the essentials of bag making through individual pouch projects.
Pouch-On-the-Go Club teaches essential skills in bag-making in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll learn about: selecting materials, working with patterns, choosing stabilizing materials specific to the project and other techniques.
Bags are also a great way to incorporate recycled materials.
Each month we will work on making a functional, visually appealing project to share with family and friends or to take with you on errands.
The book we’ll be working from is by comfortstitching blogger, Aneela Hoey. Her book, Stitched, Sewing Organizers, contains fifteen organizational projects. This Club will be working through the pouch section first and then progress to the various types of boxy bags and containers made from fabric.
Supply List will be sent out 1 week before the class.
